attach anchor to pole minus the umbrella top

turn wing nuts 2 to 3 times (don’t over tighten)

Drive stakes deep into ground at 45º angle pointing towards the pole bottom

follow order (a) thru (d) to create a big x

center the pole and tighten cables by
pulling the anchor up while pushing the pole down

tighten wing nuts

add umbrella top

tap kick pole bottom and tilt towards the wind. Done.

You are now ASTM F3681-24 compliant

1. Position the umbrella canopy flat edge on the ground. 

2. Push bottom of pole into the soft sand until it hits hard sand and stops.

Take out the bottom-facing (A) stake from the anchor storage holster, extend the attached cable toward the top right edge of the umbrella, and remove any slack.

Drive the (A) stake into the sand at 45° pointing towards the pole bottom. Repeat with bottom-facing (B) stake for the top left side edge of the umbrella.

After stakes are in ground, slide the anchor down the pole to tighten cables.

Secure the position by gently tightening the wing nuts (2-3 turns.) Don’t overtighten.

Secure by using top-facing stakes and tighten cables from the opposite direction to create an “X”. 

With stakes in storage holster and cables tied up, attach anchors to canopy legs. Don't over-tighten.

Open up your canopy.

Raise the canopy legs and anchors.

Untie cables and take out stakes from the holster.

Drive stakes at 45° pointing towards the canopy leg bottom.

Raise anchor to tighten cables. Tighten wing nuts. Don't over-tighten.

If your canopy is not fully open yet, this is the time to adjust the other legs.

Tighten cables as needed. You're done.

Reverse the steps and keep Gator Jawn attached to the bottom of the canopy legs.
